AIR/EGR differences from 98-99 to 2000
AIR/EGR differences from 98-99 to 2000 Since search isn't working lately so obviously I can't find the answer I need.
I'm getting rid of my mac headers and offroad y pipe to a friend that has a 2000 trans am. I know they'll fit fine except the egr/air hookups are different on the 2000 cars than the 98-99's, but what exactly is the difference? If I remember right, just the egr is in different spots, but according to my wife I'm wrong a lot so I thought someone else might know for sure. Can I just give him my old emissions crap and be done with it? Thanks for any help guys!! Can't wait 'til search is fixed

EGR is the same.
The AIR pipe attachments are in slightly different locations. Yes, swaping the metal part of the air tubing is the easiest way to make the change.
Or just remove the whole AIR system

EGR is same place on intake. The only thing I can think your wife is thinking is that its an 01-02 and doesnt have EGR. AIR is more or less the same, the way the hoses are routed / where they attatch is slightly different. Also I think the AIR pumps are different design.
