Default modifying/custom ORY

I'm buying a set of mac mids w/o the ORY..

could I buy a ORY for longtubes and modify it? or would that be too costly?

does anybody sell a ORY for the mac mids?

mac does.. but they want 200$ for it..

anybody do a custom Y pipe?

A good exhaust shop could do it for you. If you go that route, I'd buy a Flowmaster Y-piece and give it to the exhaust shop to use. Awesome piece that will give you better scavenging than just simply throwing two pipes together in a homemade Y. If you go to Flowmaster's website, you'll see it listed with their other accessories, like the H-pipe kit. Or you could use any ORY and have a shop make it fit. It is possible, it would just take some cutting and manipulating.

alright I bought a flowmaster merge collector..

2.5 to a 3inch outlet..

and I bought a dynomax bullet 3in/3out..

I'm gona run the y to the merge collector and then after the merge collector run a bullet a foot or so after.. then after the bullet run about a foot of 3inch piping.. I'm not gona dump it.. it typicaly sounds worse dumped.. IMO

how do you think this will work out? sound/power?

How well would a 4" tuck if you put 2 random tech cats on it? Would it scrape like hell on a lowered car?

The 3" to 4" Y-merge is the one used in the Mufflex/QTP Y-pipe offerings. That Y-merge is huge. Flows extremely well and scavenges, yet good coordination is necessary to avoid tunnel brace conflicts (a problem if you're using a tunnel brace mounted TQ Arm or DS safety loop). The merge goes on at a point where clearance is already not as crucial as, say where the two legs of the Y pipe are located.

That's good, I'm planning on going QTP HVMC and 4" merge collector y with 2 cats. Should flow well and fit well from what I've read. Now I've just been trying to figure out how much I will be able to lower the car with this set-up.

Lowering the car makes for a tight fit. If it's a cutom job, at least you'll have the liberty of fabricating the setup with strict tolerances.

Not to ***** the thread, but would this dual 3" in/single 4" out flowmaster y-merge mate up to a hooker coated y-pipe very well if I was to try and swap out that junction? It looks like the drivers side is bent in at an angle not straight ahead there like the flowmaster looks.
I found a dr. gas y-merge that looks like it would work better (has a bend in it for the drivers side coming in at that angle), but its more than twice as much as the flowmaster.
