What is the OD in a Y setup I'm used to oval track cars, where some companies claim that a Y setup to a single exhaust increases breath of the powerband and power. Sort of an 8-2-1 setup.
The issue on power seems to be design of the merge. Burns describes an X-pipe as two Y-Pipes joined:
To work correctly they must be a 2-to-1 merge collector.
Question: Does someone build these for F-bodies? Y-bodes? Monaro/GTO?
And do they work?

Flowmaster does......i have one on my car, 4" in and 3" out. I think it works great, cuts down on the rasp from my LTs and RandomTech cats because they are virtually like having an ORY and it flows great!
