Default which maf?

which maf to use with fast 90, nw90 tb, 85mm lid. It doesn't make sense to have a stock 75mm maf with all other pieces being that much larger.

Thumbs up

I would go with a properly calibrated 85mm MAF from SLP or PACE parts. PACE offers them screened or descreened- obviously, the descreened version will flow a little better, but I'm not sure it's enough to make a difference.

I think the descreened version is $24 more than the screened version.

The SLP 85mm MAF has a screen.

Both go for around $180-$185, although I have seen them for less on E-bay, sometimes they go on sale (board sponsors), and you frequently can find a used one in the "Parts for Sale" forum.

Good luck.

85mm MAF from PACE. I got the "ls1 calibrated" one (whatever) and it worked.

I also have the 85mm MAF from Pace. I recently went SD and no longer need it. It is for sale in the Parts for Sale section. I have one interested person who has not gotten back with me so if you want it let me know. I will put a link here in a minute.

Ask the people tuning your car. If they don't like aftermarket MAFs, then your tune will probably suck.

As long as they can get the VE tables, tuning shoudn't be any more complicated. I say go for an uncalibrated OEM 85mm unit, and get the VE table from one of the PCM guru's here to give to your tuner. Jimmy in the PCM section has that info.
