Start from the bottom and work your way up. Id do it all over again because they fit sooo well. The emission stuff is in the right locations, the collectors tuck and fit better then the Kooks or QTP's and the y-pipe is the best ive seen for the price. With no banging or clearance issues anywhere.

Looks good :) I just got mine last night from Edelbrock. I went with the slip on merge collectors instead of the fully welded version.

You'll be very happy you did Matt....You'll see a little more increase with that collector setup over the welded ones.

Absoultely perfect. Nice rumble to it when you fire it off. And its very tame when cruising.

hows the ground clearance ? looks like they tuck pretty good for LT's.

bad ass man, thanks for the pics. what year is that car. i want to know if the 00-02 welded style come with egr fittings or not. i can't wait to get mine ordered and installed.

Haans249 01-20-2006 11:45 AM

how did you get them installed? When installing mine I had to lift the engine off the mounts! Please inform us!

Thanks!
Adrian

Haans249 01-20-2006 11:53 AM

also, let us know if you throw the P1133 and P1153 codes for the O2 Sensors!

Yes they come with the fittings and are even in the correct locations as well. They also include block off plates if you wish to not use them.

As far as installation went...i did it just like any other header ive done on my back. A block of wood under the k-member and 2 6-ton jack stands for safety. Took the oil diverter plate off above the filter, steering shaft and slide it in place. Pass side was a little tough but you gotta know how to manipulate them in the car. Ive never once jacked the motor up in any car to install headers. Guys, there are safer ways to do installs and easier.

To be honest I think they will get thrown on any LT header. The actual heat doesnt reach that far down the tubes like on a mid-lenght or on a stock manifold...thats why when you pull your 02's on a manifold or Mac header they are burning hotter then say a long tube. You see it with the tip of the oxygen sensor being white/gray vs sooty. Hope that makes sense.

slimcracka 01-20-2006 12:56 PM

looks great i didnt know dynomax made a catback for our cars...

Yes they actually make a Super Turbo catback...I asked Gregg to opt that muffler out and instead order the Ultra-Flo Version instead. It not only flows more but sounds better too.
