Default Exhaust Question

I have a 99' Trans Am and would like to put on a new exhaust system. I have been looking all over but can't find a system which sounds good and has dual exhaust with two slanted chorme tips on each side. If anyone has some pictures or a link to see some, that would be great. Thanks!

When you say dual exhaust do you mean a true dual system or a cat back with 2 exhaust pipes out of one muffler??? If you are looking at the catbacks the Magnaflow sounds great and has 2 round slash tips.

I listened on ls1sounds.com for a couple weeks, constantly comparing and asking opinions from friends, and finally decided on the TSP Rumbler. It's not as loud as the Loudmouth, and is exactly what I was looking for. You can get it for $230 shipped, and just find whatever tips you like to slap on there.

Hope this helps...

B&B - $719
Borla - $620
Corsa - $740
Hooker - $299
SLP LM - $322

Now go to LS1 Sounds and see which one you like the best sound wise. Another choice is a TSP Rumbler without tips and then you can get whatever tips you want with a 2.5" inlet.

Great post!

Visit magnaflow.com, they have a nice selection of AWESOME looking tips. After you find one you like, go to ebay and type in "magnaflow" and the magnaflow part number as shown on their site. 90% of the tips on magnaflows site can be had on ebay for HALF PRICE!

I have a Borla Cat back on mine. I think it sounds pretty good, and it was on the car when I bought it.

Do you mean two tips total (one tip on each side) or 4 tips total (dual tips on each side)? If you mean one on each side, check out Bassani:

I've been using that system for a few years now on my LS1 cars. Looks & fits great, sounds perfect, and it's all stainless. It's not cheap, but it's worth it to me.....

If you're looking for systems with dual tips on each side (4 total), your options include:

Borla
Corsa
SLP Dual Dual
SLP Loudmouth
Hooker
B & B

Those are the basic ones with dual tips on each side. They vary widely in prices, so search around to find out which sound you want and how much you're going to spend. Good luck.

Default Thanks Joe!

Wow! Thanks a lot. I got a Corsa Exhaust and that thing is so loud. I love it. It has the meanest, throatiest, V8 sound you could want. It has some awsome tips too. Dual exhuast with dual tips on both sides with each tip at a width of 3.5 inches. And when I am just cruising, it is quieter than my old exhaust. I love it! and it was only like $600!! Thanks a lot Joe Hanes from the Fort Wayne Hires! (he got me a pretty good deal!)

Which of these exhaust is the best for stock manifolds and ory. I ain't putting headers/ory anytime soon? Car completely stock. What exhaust should I choose? Like the Lm and Hooker. There aint a vid of an LS1 w/ stock manifolds/ory on ls1sounds for the hooker catback. ANyone have one?

I bought the SLP Loudmouth II from www.ws6store.com for around 400 shipped. Installation was easy and the sound was great, not too loud, but loud enough. It came with 2 chrome slashed tips on each side.

I'm aiming toward the Lm but not sure on 1 or 2. I will look at vid of lm2 and decide. I just want to hear a vid of the hooker catback on a completely stock vehicle. I prob buy it from www.lmperformance.com since it $377.96 w/ shipping.
