Simple intake question

Simple intake question I've had my 02 Z28 for a few months now, and have put a catback on it already. I was thinking of getting a lid, but I've read that the 01 and 02 Z's came with the LS6 intake? Do I still need a lid?
Also, I've seen many people complain about a poor fit, is there a best lid?

Yes you still need a lid. The ls6 intake refers to the ls6 intake MANIFOLD. The big black thing that bolts onto your heads. The lid is the thing that covers your airfilter.
Some people seem to think the SLP lids fit well. I wish i could say i couldnt complain about the way my MTI lid fits, but i'd be telling a lie.
I'm not really keen on which lid fits the best.
