Getting True Duals out back
Ok, so you suggest i just buy all the parts, take them to the shop on open headers and have them fab it up? Thanks, Can someone make a list of exhaust parts ill need and how many and a best place to buy them? Thinking sweet thunders

Depends on whether you want mandrel bent or not.
You'll need:
2 mufflers.....Sweet Thunder, Flowmaster 1-chambers, Flo-Pro Twisters, Dynomax Bullets, Borla XR1's, etc.
If you want to model my setup, you'll need 8 flanges. four 3" and four 2.5". The four 3" go on the header collectors and the beginning of the exhaust. The four 2.5" go after the mufflers so you can drop it for jacking.
You'll need an H or X-pipe.
You'll need mandrel bends if you want to go that route and your exhaust shop doesn't have them. You'll need at least four U-shaped bends...possibly more. That all depends on how you route it.
And I would strongly recommend a 3" to 2.5" reducer. If you use that, you can subtract two of the 3" flanges. These will bolt to the flanges on the headers and then you can weld the piping to these and continue to your crossover. These provide a smooth transition from the 3" header collectors to the 2.5" piping.
If you follow all this, your list will total:
2 mufflers
2 3"-2.5" reducers
2 3" flanges
4 2.5" flanges
X or H-pipe
4+ U-shaped mandrel bends

The exhaust shop will have the hangers and everything else you need. Hope this helps.

http://www.drgas.com/store/product.p...&cat=16&page=1 . How would this kit work, i would need 2 sweet thunder mufflers and that would be all correct along with this kit? Or would ibe better off still buying all seperate from summit?

Verdad Gallardo If you go to the FS section, AustinL911 has a bunch of stuff for sale like mandrel U-bends for $15 each and a Hedman X-pipe for cheap. I don't know if they are spoken for yet, but worth checking into. It is under one of the whole car parted out sections. I don't remember which one. About middle of the page.
