Default Pacesetters to QTP's

Hey guys Im just wondering what kind of gains you saw with pacesetters on a H/C car. Im install the parts in my sig and Im just wondering if QTP's are worth double the price of the Pacesetters or not for the gain that they will give me.

A freind of mine has the f13 and TEA 1.5 and switched from pacesetters to Qtp and he gained 6hp , for me its not worth a 1000$ bucks headers + installation to get= 6hp!!

I would invest on the Fast90/90 combo if you dont have one.

The difference is in the quality of the material. The QTPs are 304 stainless steel. If you plan on keeping your car a long time, get the QTP headers. If not get the Pacesetter, they will eventually rust and the next owner will have to buy another set of headers.

Which style of our header was your friend using. Was it the old style or the hvmc. Price f the headers are $725.00 and i would liek to see the graph and the under the curve numbers. Because if it is 6hp across the board that is a good gain.

The gains will be dependent upon your mods. The more your heads flow, the less restriction you want in a set of headers. The larger your cam is, the less restriction you want in a set of headers. The higher your intake tract can flow, the less restriction you want in a set of headers. The 1-7/8" header will allow more air to flow into and out of your engine than a 1-3/4", thus making more power. Not only will it make more peak power, but it will make more power under the curve, and that is what really matters.

If you want a good investment, then pick up a set of stainless steel 1-7/8" headers. They look better, and the power gain is better.

basically, you have to see where you live, because once you replace your headers the first time, your already paying more than if you went straight to stainless, its not worth it really to buy coated, save up the extra dough for stainless.

I live in MI with crappy winters. However ym car is stored winter and sees some rain i nthe summer, but not alot, i try not to drive its its raining a lot but i get caught sometimes. For a kid on a budget, would you suggest i get the pacesetters or save up a little more and be a lot better off with QTPs. Other problem i see is that QTP's y pipe is also a ton more than the pacesetters. How is clearnace and fitment from QTP's to pacesetters? Thanks!

I went with JetHots last time and they were the highest quality budget header I could find/afford. This time I went with QTP since I want something I know I'll never have to swap out again.

I live in Canada but my car is stored all winter long. A couple guys I know have Pacesetters and they seem like a good product. I may just have to get some of those HVMC QTP's though since they do make the most power, like I said though, is getting that extra 5-10 hp worth paying double the amount?
