gas smell from braided fuel lines???
gas smell from braided fuel lines??? Anyone ever heard of gas fumes permiating (smelling) through braided lines? I have Russel braided -8 lines on my tein turbo setup. I put gas in today and ran the pumps for 10 minutes.
The garage smells like gas. I can put my nose up to the braided lines and they smell like gas.......
No leaks, Checked all lines and fittings..
This really is really annoying..................please let me know if anyone has ever heard of this .....and is there a fix?

Contrary to popular belief most stainless braided hose will eventually swell and the rubber inside will start to deteriorate. Pump gas is worse than race gas because of the extra cleaning additives. The only braided hose that does not deteriorate is the Teflon lined hose.
When plumbing a car it is always best to use as much hard line as possible and have short lengths of braided line where you need it.
