Help, hearing a noise!! ok, so i put on edelbrock shorties, after a couple days, i now hear a ticking noise and it would tick faster and faster with more RPMs, i am experiencing power loss, idle is a little rough now after the headers, i believe i am having a small misfire, horrible fuel economy, could it be the wires are getting warn and the spark jumping to the header, or just need new plugs?? i checked the other plugs on the driver side and it appears they are new plugs..any suggestions or could itbe something else

Check to see if your plugs are arcing. Check to insure your not getting an exhaust leak. You didnt use paper gaskets did you? Then, (this is what was wrong with my 96 Impala SS when i did headers) make sure you properly block off and remove the AIR system. Theres a little valve thingy that goes nuts and causes all sorts of problems. Its been about 2 years so I forgot all the details...Check on an LT1 site, you'll find lots of info about that issue.
