Whats the difference between the GMPP and LS6 wires?
Prices are similar, which is better?

I think the boots are a little different. I haven' t checked the resisitance on any of them, but, I imagine they are all likely pretty close. I don' t think it would really matter, in the interest of performance. I can tell you I prefer these over MSDs I have had. I have tried the MSDs twice, and it seems like they only want to go on, the first time. It seems the more times you remove them, the more difficult it seems to get them on the car. The GMPP wire ( or OEM for that matter ) seems to resist this more, and I had had my old GMPP wires off and on a number of times before one finally ripped. Not bashing MSD, or those with them, I just prefer the GMPP. You are less likely to get electronic interferance with the GMPP wires too. I could hear some interferance from time to time with both sets of MSDs.

Do you know if the LS6 or GMPP wires come with the heat shields arount the plug boot, or do we reuse those from the stockers?

 

I know that a new set of LS1 wires does not come with the heat shields, so my guess is that the LS6/GMPP wouldn't either.

I plan to get the GMPP wires as my next set......

 

From what ive researched so far, id have to agree with you, i dont think they come with the shields either. Do you guys put the shields back on ur new wires?

Also the LS6 and GMPP wires look very similar, both are red and i believe are the same diameter, 7mm. Both should work i hope.

 

Honestly, I'm not sure if there is any real difference or not between the LS6 and GMPP wires.

I'd just reuse the stock heat shields.
