installing asp pulley

installing asp pulley well am about to install a asp pulley with headers and a off road y pipe. I have a automatic and i heard you have to remove the starter and use something to wedge in the fly wheel . I just want to know if anybody has done this and if there are any tips on making this job easier at all.
