Is the switch supposed to light up or did I get an early version, is there even a such thing as an early version because mine does not light up. I looked on their web site and it said "custom lighted switch".

I bought one in Aug '02, pic of the switch on their site looks just like the one I got. It lighted white with ign on, then red or green opening and closing.

 

mine does nothing
dammit I'm buying a new switch

 

check wiring and fuses. maybe try hooking it up directly to a 12 v source to see if you can get a light??
