i have a 01 SS.anybody put on a pair of shorties lately?how hard is it and how long did it take???

not tryin to be a d**k, but shorties are a waste of money, i really hope you haven't already bought them. if you're getting headers get LT's or none at all, not worth it IMO and i think you'll find alot of people will agree.

They realy are a waste.
if you have them return them
and get some passeceters if your trying to stay low on price

thanks for the advice.i diden't buy any yet.just looking into it.i'm trying to give the car some breathing room and keep the noise down.any suggestions?low cost also.

pacesetter LT's, catted Y pipe if you want to be safe and quiet, into a not so loud muffler. dont forget a tune also.

LT's and no cats cutout= loud as ****. cats get rid of lots of rasp from what i have seen. LTs and no cats through stock Z muffler is pleasent and actually sounds decent. my set up and an E cutout

A lot of good advice in this thread.

LT's with ORY, or catted y, and stock catback + electric cutout. You'll have the best of ALL worlds.

Nice and quiet when you're cruising, mean and loud when you're.....

definately lt's man....if money isnt an option id go with kooks...but pacestetter makes good power for the money...

The 2000 and up manifold are pretty good. Most shorties only show a marginal hp gain.
