Default Pacesetter (different years)

Just curious what the difference is between the qt pacesetter lt's from 98-99 (part# 72C2253) and 00-02 (part #72C2255). Thanks.

The placement/orientation of the EGR/AIR tube fittings. 98-00 have EGR fittings, 01-02 do not. The AIR fittings are pointed in slightly different directions as well. The "Race" version has none of the aforementioned bungs at all.

Why are you saying qt pacesetter? I hope you don't think QTP makes pacesetters, they are 2 different companies completly.

Oh ok cool. Naw wasn't refering to qtp, put qt to mean quik trip.

Does anyone have uninstalled pictures of the 00-02 pacesetters so I can see the difference? Also is it possible to run 98-99 headers on my 02 that came w/o an egr stock. Thanks.

Yes it is possible to run them on your car, you can either make, or buy, a block-off plate to put on the header.

If i was you, i would simply remove the AIR system and have the AIR and rear O2 sensor codes deleted from the PCM. You would need to put some block off plates on those too. People say you CAN make them work, if you bend the stock AIR tubes enough to mate up, but the AIR system is really unnecessary.
