Default Which Kooks?

Which should I get?

Car: '02 WS6, TR 230/224 cam, Stock heads

Description says....
1 3/4" - Best for bolt-on cars or if your running a head/cam upgrade
1 7/8" - These work great with stroker motors

Somebody locally has a set of 1 7/8" for sale but it doesnt seem to relate to my application.

Is it that big of difference between the 2; would I be losing anything? Or would that still be fine for my car?

I would say that the 1 7/8 would be your best bet for good sized cam and head combos on stock cubes. that is probably what I would do anyway if I was put in your shoes.

I was wondering the same thing. I really don't see myself getting new heads anytime soon, but I should be cammed within the next year or so. Right now, it's time for headers. I was thinking 1 3/4", just like your description stated. Will 1 7/8" make the low end suffer any? And with LS6 or FAST intake and a cam, will that be enough to warrant the larger?

TTT for ya.

Yup! You will lose enough low end to not justify the 1 7/8" headers. You will lose alot of bottom end, and gain a LITTLE bit at high RPM's. Not gonna help you unless you have a HUGE cam and heads, but better yet a stroker with big cam/heads. This is a case of bigger is not always better.

Go with 1 3/4.
1 7/8" for big cubes.

I've had good luck with 1 7/8, I could not tell a low-end loss what so ever and gained 2 mph's over Jet Hot's 1 3/4
