Default Need help and opinions

I have a completely stock 02 SS,M6. The set up i want to run for exhaust is lt's, probably the pacesetters, true duals with 12" bullets. what are some opinions on headers and the mufflers. i hear a lot of talk about the sweet thunders. does dynomax make an 8" bullett. what about the pacesetters as opposed to hooker for headers. i am also a little confused about not having cats. will this set up be at all legal i.e. will it pass emissions. if it helps my future engine mods will probably only include a new air lid, tb and manifold.

Lt's with true duals wont pass emissions. You wont have any cats, and your rear o2's will need to be deleated. Geting off road header will also mean you will eliminate your AIR system. All that being said you no longer have any emmision controls in your ride. So if you dont have to get a emmision test in your area go for it. Also on you future mods, unless you are getting a fast intake mainifold you already have the ls6 intake.

Im wanting to do the Exact same setup on mine, Pacesetter Lt's true duald Into sweet thunders. With no cats, but I dont have to worry bout passing emmisions whatsoever if you have problems with cops and emissions id re think your setup. But otherwise do it and let me know some prices and how you like it so Ill know to go through with it or not...

"Passing" emissions is more to do (now) with what kind of test, if it's the OBD2 test (plug into the computer and check for codes) then setting the parameters wide enough so that a code is never thrown wil get you a pass, no matter what emissions control stuff you have (or don't have)
If you test includes a visual and/or a sniffer you'd better have at least cats, or you'll have a more difficult (if not impossible) time getting a pass
So it depends on what you have to deal with
Then there's the cops, LTs and duals are going to be LOUD, so if you have noise ordinaces, and cops that like to enforce them (or bitchy neighbors) then rethink your setup

Have a word with TSP (Texas Speed & Performace --->) they do some great deals on Pacesetter headers. Plus they sell a dual system that dumps before the axle with either bulletts or sweet thunders. If you ask nice you might be able to get a deal price buying it all in one hit. Plus if you want cats I'm sure they could sort something out for you.
