Need PLate to block EGR off at manifold.. I have ls1 edit coming and I am wanting to get rid of EGR and the Air tube stuff and was wanting to know where to get a plate or a motormite expansion plug to plug the hole in the manifold.

Re: Need PLate to block EGR off at manifold.. You can measure the hole, and pick up an appropriate size rubber expandable plug (like you mentioned) at most any auto parts store.
I cut the original metal tube flush with the flat plate and just used a ton of black RTV to close it up.
If you really want to get rid of the EGR hole, then pick up an LS6 intake. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: Need PLate to block EGR off at manifold.. I just finished installing a set of 2001 headers on a 2000 TA and used a 35mm freeze plug and a little dab of RTV to seal the EGR hole in the manifold. A little shot of black paint and it looks pretty good. It seems that you could fashion a small plate that would cover the freeze plug that would look even better pretty easily.

I just tapped my nickel plated 35mm freeze plug in with a little saliva sealant/lube. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Seems to be working fine prolly should check and make sure about a vacuum leak. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
