Default Need tips on installing headers by myself. Two hands enough?

I need to get my Hooker LT's and orp in, I finally have the time to do it. Looks like I may have to go it alone because my buddies are working late. Getting the factory stuff off should be easy. I'm concerned about fitting the LT's up in there, lining up the gaskest and getting the bolts threaded with 2 hands. I sure don't want to cross thread them. Mission impossible? BTW, I have a lift, air tools and any other tool I could possibly need. Thanks!

It is possible, but it sure is handy to have someone on top of the car and one underneath. It would be VERY frustrating if you get the new header fed up from the bottom, crawl out to get to the top to start the bolts, and the damned thing falls out! D'OH!

Yeah, I'm trying to think of a way to fit the header in from the bottom and hold it up there somehow while I get at the bolts from the top. Maybe I could tie it to something to hold it in place for a few minutes. I don't know. But, I need to get these thing in. Had the headers since late January when Jet Hot first got them

yes.. I've done it twice.

Easy way to do it from the bottom, is to remove the 4 bolts motor mount to k-member and swing it out of the way.

You will want the header to head flange perpendicular to the ground, when you push them up.

Can be done with some attention to details. This is what I have done this winter by myself
P&P Heads
Ferrea racing valves
Cam
Fully functional Ram Air Scoop (can't be driven in the rain)
McLeod Street Twin
McLeod Master
McLeod Slave
Coleman aluminum drive shaft
Spool
4:10
Strange rear
Wilwood Rear brakes
All of this I had to re-install my hearders by myself. You can do it but as it has been said a friend is nice to have around if you have one.

Not sure with FLP's but I had to undo my steering knuckle to allow room for the headers to go in.

I installed the SLP Long Tubes by myself. I anchored the headers to my FIPK intake mounting bracket using rope. I also used allen keys to line up the gaskets. I had to lay accross the intake manifold inorder to get some of the bolts in. It's a tough job. Lot's of sweat, blood and cuss words.

It will be a major PITA. Me and a buddy did my Macs and I dont' see how we would of done it if I didn't have me holding the headers up from underneath why he put the bolts in.
