Help! my car 'freaks out!!' when I launch hard OK my 99TA has 125hp N20, Vig 3200, stock 3.23’s, and a pair of Hoosier slicks.
When I launch on the nitrous, ALL the warning lights in the dash come on. Like the ‘brake’, ‘ABS’, ‘check engine’, ‘oil’, ‘check guages’, etc etc. ALL of them flash on for a few seconds when I launch hard. Also the speedometer & tach are pegged out. Has this happened to anyone else? How can I stop this from happening again??? Does it hurt anything? I know there's lots of people here with faster cars that launch harder.....

Re: Help! my car 'freaks out!!' when I launch hard Mine was doing that on the bottle also. Do you use a window switch? Wonder if the surge from the window switch is backing into the PCM somehow (if you use one)?
Re: Help! my car 'freaks out!!' when I launch hard Check your battery... the front "hook" of the battery tray is known to break on these cars. Of course .. you don't notice it till you have a hard launch <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
