MAFT question? I posted a week or so age and aks about porting my MAF and got some resopnces that said it would make my car run lean(?)I do not really know what that means., although i do understand that it is probably a bad thing. Some replys said that if I did decided to do it to get a MAFT and that would counter the engine running lean. does anybody have an explanation for the engine running lean (?) and what is the MAFT and where could I get one.

Re: MAFT question? Running lean means more air then fuel. Running rich mean more fuel then air. There is the proper ratio for air to fuel. You can get a MAFT from some of sponsors are this board.

Re: MAFT question? It's not guaranteed that you will run lean (mine didn't) but in some cases you will.
To expand on whats already been said, the MAFT is a Mass Air Flow Translator, its a little box the plugs in between the MAF and the wiring harness and it alters the information from the MAF to the PCM. This allows you to dial in more or less fuel.

Re: MAFT question? Get the MAFT and just order some ported Mass Air Flow ends from a sponsor; they're like 30 bucks.
