#7 plug is white with some silver blots on it...
<img border="0" alt="[guns]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" /> MY LUCK. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />
<strong>That doesn't sound good. Silver as in aluminum?</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yeah, unfortunatley that is what it looks like. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
I am going to go check all of the connections around the #7 injector. I may end up taking the car to get some diagnostics run to see if I may need to replace that injector. What a bummer <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" /> .
<strong>I would say the injector is bad. You might want to run a compression check on that cylinder as well. Silver specs is BAD! Maybe you caught it before you did some serious damage. You may have to pull the motor. Good excuse to stroke it out.</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yeah, I hope I caught it before anything big happened. The thing is, I have NEVER actually heard any detonation. The proof is there though. I REALLY hope I DON'T have to pull the motor and replace anything. I don't have that kind of money; and there are still 3 years of payments on the Firebird; and 5 years of payments on the Yukon. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> Maybe I should just get a replacement fuel injector; make the switch and hope for the best. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> God I am upset. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
Wish me luck.
I am bummin'. <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" />
