Which Exhaust?
Also it's stainless steel and looks good. LM2 is a tad quieter.
-Hooker
-TSP Rumbler
Are some other good ones, but not stainless steel.
Stay clear of the Flowmaster as it doesn't flow very well and will ultimatley hinder performance.
-GMMG
-Stainless Works Chambered
These are top dollar systems but are very well made and sound awesome.
Borla is popular, but IMO it's over priced, ugly and doesn't sound great. Plus I don't 'how' it works either. And that adjustable idea is just for people who have too much time on their hands. You'd be better off just getting a Hooker or SLP Dual/Dual (both pretty quiet) and a QTP electronic cut-out, it will do the same thing but cheaper and you can alter the sound from inside the car at a flick of a switch.
There are loads of other setups, none are particulary bad it's just more to personalising it to what you want.
IMO the SLP LM is 90% GMMG at nearly half the price. It makes the car sound like a muscle car, however if it's you DD (Daily Driver) then I can see it may annoy some people.
There are dual setups also, some claim these to be the ultimate. This is total bull from people who know no better. Ultimatley on the correct setup when you're well over 550rwhp then duals have the ability to outperform a Y pipe setup (provided you use 3" duals). But for most bolt on, cammed, head & cam or mild blower applications a Y pipe will work fine, even in 3".
If youwant duals there are very few kits, TSP make one with an X pipe but it hangs a little low and dumps before the axle which means it will be louder than any of the catbacks (LM included). It also means you can't run a body mounted torque arm. Custom duals are good, but can be expensive and require research to make the best of a custom install.
Check out www.ls1sounds.com it will give you an idea of what they all sound like at least.
To me, the Rumbler sounds like a "cleaner" Loudmouth, and is cheap to boot.
The Magnaflow is a good system and can be had for under $400 if you poke around.
