SLP Lid noise

SLP Lid noise

I just noticed a whissing noise when i increase the rpms. I have a 98 z28 with a SLP lid and was just wondering if the noise was coming from this. ANyone else with a SLP lid hear the same thing from inside the car?

Probably. The lid allows more air to get in. The baffles in the stock lid will quiet the incoming air.

Yep its normal...nothing to worry about.

Just make sure its clamped down good and nothing is rubbing.

kinda annoying...but it's normal. My car has seems to get progressively gotten louder each mod I do.

i noticed a very slight whistling noise when i did my slp cold-air induction kit on my 01' z28, and when i installed my bbk 80mm tb you can really start to hear it. i kinda like the sound of the air being sucked right in. not annoying in anyway to me. it bothered me atfirst but i got used to it.

If the noise really bothers you then that means you need a better exhaust. True Duals, Corsa, GMMG or LM will gaurantee you don't hear the air rushing into the intake.
