Default TTS Headers

Anybody running TTS headers and cats? Can you pass emission testing. The build quality looks very nice. How were your power gains? Thanks.

I'm curious why these are not as popular as FLP and SLP.

I have TTS and I love them. Install was easy and they don't hit anywhere. The coating still looks great as it does on friends cars who have had them longer. I have not been on a dyno yet, or to the track, but the throttle response/torque at crazy low rpm is really there, and it just keeps pulling until the next shift.

I am going to dyno at Carlisle in two weeks and will be bragin, I'm sure......

As for emissions, TTS is emissions certified in CA, and the headers with cats are 50 state legal.

I also wonder why they are not as 'popular', but I'm not into popular, just quality and performance, so I got them. These are quality built headers, with no problems that I hear about anywhere.

Here is their phone number... 310-669-8101. I have never had any problem getting in touch with Steve and he is very helpful! Give him a call, and tell him Beth in MD sent ya!

I am biased, but I do believe that TTS makes the highest quality headers for our cars. Re emissions, they (all long tubes) are NOT legal for street use in CA. Only shorty headers bearing a CARB E.O. number are legal.

I have a used set of them, one of the first two sets... Prototypes with the 2 bolt flanges...

They are an excellent header. I'd say they are one of the three best longtubes out there.

I think the TTS guy is kind of hard to talk to, and he gets so busy that I would not want to buy the headers unless someone had them in stock. The ypipe is also only 2.5 doing into a 2.5 merge, which needs to be rectified.

I don't have any experience with other brands, but I am very happy with the quality and finish of TTS. They were easy to install also. As far as power gains, I'm not sure, as I installed them at the same time as all the engine mods listed in my sig. They do sound great with the LM !!

Does anyone know what kind of clearance these headers provide? I'm making a decision between these and the SLP LTs. Thanks

I don't have any 1st hand experience with either, but i do know from a friend who does lots of LS1 work that the SLP LT's and SLP in general is having a whole lot of quality control issues lately. Although i haven't heard much about the TTS headers, i do know that all i have heard is excellent about them.

Just my $0.02
