Default Cutout location ?

What are the odds of toasting the exhaust valves while running a cutout located at the header collector of a shortie?

I am currently running JBA's (I know, I know). Is it plausible to run a cutout where the cats are now?

Has anybody done this?

Thanks

I put my cut-out right before the intermediate pipe behind the rear axle beside the passenger rear tire. It is not a bad location. You can take the cut-out off pretty easy and gain horsepower. My car has a H/C setup and I gain tenth or more through the quarter. For a stock setup--I don't know. However, lots of people have a cut-out on there cars and there must be something to it. I hope this helps.

I had an idea of putting two power plates in the y-pipe to make a true dual of sort.
