ls6 Intake question

ls6 Intake question I've heard on this board that the 01'& 02'WS6's were given the LS6 intake. My questions are:
1.Is this the case on all Z28's, SS's, Formulas
as well?
2.What distinctive markings or features would
identify it as such? How can I tell the
difference between the LS1 and LS6 Intake to
verify that I haven't been hosed or had a
switch pulled on me either already or in the
future?
The information that floats around this board is
incredible. My hat is off to the gurus and their

Re: ls6 Intake question i can tell you that the z28 and the ss have the ls6 manifold...i assume formulas would also have these...as for your second question im not sure...i think the ls1 and ls6 manifolds look the same as far as i can tell but im a rookie <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

LS6 V’s LS1?
Ok looking from the front. At the right hand side of the T/B you should see a mould flashing.
It travels from the T/B mounting brace to middle of the first runner. Halfway through the first runner, this flashing turns left at 90 deg and continues to the front side of the left hand side. This left hand turn is the best way to tell the difference. The LS1 manifold has a dead sharp 90 deg turn. Like two straight lines…. The LS6 manifold has a 1” radius turn.
