Default FLP Headers clearance???

I want to get an idea of how many people have had clearance problems with the FLP LT Headers?? I'll probably be getting a set in a week or two and would like to know before hand.

I have Eibach Pro-kit Springs and I have a pretty steep driveway too!

Thanks,
Kyle

C'mon Kyle, you know that's what I had... With the drop, I prolly had 2.5" or so of clearance at the y-pipe. I never had *any* issues with them hitting the floorboard though, so they might could have been tucked up a little closer... *shrug* Anyway, I wouldn't call it a 'problem', but there definitely isn't much room to spare...
I'd let you take a look, but I haven't gotten everything moved over to the new one yet. Which reminds me...need to update my sig...

I currently have a problem with the headers hitting my stearing wheel column knuckle/bolt under WOT and when gasing it through a left/right turn. Filing down the knuckle is the only fix for this I guess.

I ground down the steering nuckle bolt and nut assembly.(no biggie)Would of dimpled the header if I knew before everything was bolted up.
As for clearence,I have SLP/Eibach springs and the clearence is 4 inches from the lowest point to the ground.I fixed the banging ussues by flattening the top of the Y-pipe where the frame brace is and cut fuel line in half screwing it to this brace.

From what I understand the FLP's probably have the most ground clearance of all the longtubes available. I assume these FLP's are coming from Dave right

If I had to choose between hookers and FLP's I would go with the FLP's for sure. You can swap cats in and out and they come with a y-pipe with the hookers you get neither of those.

Plus FLP's will be easier for me to install

I just put FLP headers on today. I had zero problems with them. Went right in. There's no hitting on the floorboards or frame rails either. Easiest headers I've ever put on. Took less than 2 hours with a lift. I read you have to pull the oil filter and Steering shaft. I didn't need to. Very pleased with them.

Oh well, then I guess I'm wrong. I told Dave I was still wanting to go with the Hookers. What do you think, should I go with the Hookers or FLPs???

FLP claimed they made design changes to fix those problems. Were changes made or not?
