Question for you Metco breather users
Did you remove the fresh air tube (from TB to front of passenger side valve cover) and cap off the ports? Does it matter either way?
I have a Metco Breather on my 2002 Z28. I havent tried what your suggesting but I was wondering the same thing. You should check out this link.

I would think that getting rid of that tube would help performance by not letting hot crankcase air from getting into your intake. But my car has a 5 year warranty so I probably wont find out for myself.

I also remember somewhere on this board someone had drilled 2 additional holes on each valve cover and added Metco breathers, to make a total of 3 (including where the oil cap went). You may want to consider that.
I woudnt just block off the tube coming from the valve cover without anyway for the crankcase pressure to be released...unless you want your oil seals to release the pressure for you.

OHHHHHHHH so thats what a pcv system does. thanks for that article. the oil consumption and pcv stuff baffled me until i read that article. but ive got one question, even if my engine isnt noticeable burning oil could i still have pcv system problems?
