Default Idle Rpms?

Anybody know what an A4 Z28 should be idling at? What RPMs does everybody idle at??
new gauges, wanna make sure i put the needle back in the right place..

TTT = to the top.
Pre-converter, my car idled around 550 rpm in gear.

about 550 +/- 50 from the factory. I think the 98s had a slightly higher idle.

My car...whisper lid and muffler...idles at 1k. I have a new motor that was put in during last summer. WTF? My track times with lid and muffler (best) are 13.8 at 103....what is up with this?

the guages are off about +200. so if you see 1000 it should be 800
