Compression Check Question How do i run a compression check?
Just remove spark plug (disconnect fuel pump fuse), put the compression check device in, and bring the piston to TDC ?
To tell TDC do I remove valve covers and just watch the rocker arms?
I think I understand what to do but not 100% sure

Re: Compression Check Question In order to get a proper reading, all of the plugs must be removed. Put your compression gauge on the cyl. of your choice, and watch the needle on the gauge as you crank the car.. Let the needle jump 5-6 times.. The end reading will be your accurate reading. Then do the same to all of the cylinders.. there shouldnt be any more than 20-30psi diff. between each one.. Hope that helps <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
