hitting rev limiter on automatic

hitting rev limiter on automatic im not sure where else to post this, so here goes...
Before i installed the MTI lid and k&n, m tranny was shifting fine at good shift pints. after i installed it, i dont know, maybe this is totally out of my ***, but i punch it hard, and at the end of 2nd when i expect ti to shift, it doesnt. instead, it goes over 6000 and thus activates the rev limiter. because of this, i fall a little when going down the track. anyone else have this prob? or am i just thikning things?

Re: hitting rev limiter on automatic I've never been flooring it in second far enough to let it shift to third but with my relitivly short mod list, I hit the rev limiter a lot on my 1-2 shift. I check my tranny fluid level and it's fine so I know that's not causing it. I have no idea why but it sucks when it happens, especially with that torque management kicking in during the shift.

Re: hitting rev limiter on automatic Are you sure it wasn't doing it before your mods? Heck, mine did it bone stock. I would suggest you get a Hpp3 to adjust your rev limiter and shift points, so it will shift before it hits the limiter. What year is your car? If you have torque managment then that could be the culprit.
