Default How to crank engine without starting?

I've noticed that after I change the oil, it takes a couple seconds longer than normal for oil pressure to come up. Is there a way to crank the engine over continuously without it firing to build pressure? Maybe pull the fuse for the injectors?

You can pull the fuel pump fuse and the motor will turn over but not start. That's how we pumped up the lifters after doing heads/cam.

One thing you can do (if you don't already) is to fill the oil filter with oil before you install it during an oil change. This will help minimize the time it takes to build pressure (its pretty much like starting a cold engine at this point).
