No special tools necessary. If you want to be environmentally friendly you will need to get it evacuated first though... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> Just unbolt the hoses, accumulator, and compressor. Pull the cover off of the core support and slide the condensor out from the top...

Thats all there is to it.

Hey Man, hows it goin?? I dont know if you remember talking to me but I had a few convos with ya back in december/jan. when I first got my car....Now to the a/c...I took mine off over the weekend..Legally you are supposed to release the freon or whatever its called now into some special container so it doesnt screw up the atmosphere...its up to you whether you use it or not..we all break laws...I removed the compressor, condensor, and the other little canister that ties it all together...If I can remember right it was just, 13mm, 10mm, ratchet, and extension...My main goal was to get rid of the big black box on the pass. side between the head and computer but I dont see that thing coming out without pulling the motor....its pretty simple and can be done in under an hour..hope this helps...
