Oh Nooooo, Help!!!!
I got everything sewn back up, new cam, intake and heads, and now I have a really bad problem.
I broke 2 of the studs on my driver's side manifold, and I had to cut the 3rd to get the y-pipe to free up from beneath the manifold.
Anyway, long story short.... I need new studs in my manifold, what can I do?? I would really like to not have to re-remove the manifold if at all possible. I have the y-pipe loose and out of the way. Can I use something else besides studs, like a good grade 8 bolt, or something along those lines to keep from having to take the manifold back off.
Thanks in advance guys, please help!!!

Studs are the better way to go, however having said that you can use bolts. Have used bolts on numerous engines in the past..

If they broke off and you can't get anything on them to extract them, then your gonna have to use an 'Ezi-out' tool. You drill them suckas and use it to extract the remainder of whats left. @#$% of a job though. Good luck! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
