Default Exaust choice?

I dunno which exaust I should get for my new 2000 Z28? I narrowed it down to either a hooker cat-back OR the SLP loudmouth. I do like both systems, and the $ is right. The SLP however doesn't have a muffler (so is that bad for emitions?). And this is pretty much my daily driver once I sell my 90 corsica.

Which one will I get more performance out of, which one will be better for a everyday car that still races once in awile ?

Personally I like the sound of the hooker system better, the loudmouth is, well, a little too loud and raspy for my tastes. I think you will see about the same performance gains from either of them though, just your preference. Let some other people chime in. Get all the info you can!!

Borla or GMMG is the best. But they are quite expensive. Between your two choices, I'd go with the Hooker. I am not fond of the loudmouth's rasp. But I am probably in the minority. There is a lot of support for the loudmouth out there.

Yea I picked those 2 (hooker or SLP) because they give good performance, sound pretty good, and are in the right price range for me. I am leaning toward the Hooker cat-back, but looked at the SLP loudmouth and it didn't seem that bad, but it does seem a little loud for my 2am joy rides

Hooker catback will be great, no drone or rasp, especially when you run without cats and longtubes later on. There will still not be any drone, and it sounds excellent.
