If they raise the motor a little is there a chance that my true duals will bang more? They bang a little when you really get on it, but I have them pretty high up for good clearance. I'm afraid if I install these then my pipes will raise up and be touching the floorboard. Also, do any places sell the whole mount- as in not one where you have to put it in the stock clamshell??

Just installed mine. They did not raise my engine and my duals are still a good bit from the floor. I cant even detect any vibrations, but then again my dumped duals could be shadowing it.

I drove them a little bit so far and can surely tell a difference if response especially when taking off and letting the clutch out. They are nice and solid compared to the crappy rubber mounts. If you do the install with the engine in the car and headers connected, be sure to have a 13mm racher gear end wrench, this will make it so much easier to do. It isnt really hard at all to do.

i am going to have to try this out... summit racing has a "set" for cheap, and it even incudes hardware to bolt close the clam shells.

The kit from one of our beloved sponsers comes with the bolts for the clam shells too.

If anyone takes some pictures while doing the install, I'll add them to the poly mount writeup at the top of the page. This would really help others, and that's what we're all about.

First person who does this and comes up with GOOD, step-by-step, pics get's paypal'd $5, and gets an "atta-boy". For this you'll have to take a picture of the mounts sitting beside a sheet of paper that has the handwritten words "TheBlurLS1 pwns ls1tech.com", with the car in the background, so I can make sure they are your pics.

heh, i took pics when i did my mount swap... but mines a little different since i have a conversion...

in anycase, before the mounts, my engine/trans would rock when i launched hard.... now it doesnt rock, but the shifter handle does visibly vibrate at idle... but you cant feel it in the seats, or steering, nor do you feel alot of vibration in the shifter..

my engine is modded, cammed, ect... so i dont expect it not to vibrate anyway..

I am in the process of installing these right now. I have already taken the mounts out of the car, got the rubber out of the mounts, sandblasted the mounts, painted them and I will be installing the new poly mounts in the morning and hopefully putting them back in the car on Friday morning. I took the advice of Luna and it really wasnt that bad of a removal even with the LT headers still installed. I will snap some digital pics in the morning and send them, but you can keep the 5 skins. How bout a sticker!!!!

Sweet! I want pics from beginning to end, but any will certainly help!

If I had stickers I'd send away, but I don't. They only pay us in cash and free parts, no stickers.

Not that I've ever seen. It's not very hard to drill out the rivets and pop the old one apart. I used a cutoff wheel on mine. The new mounts come with BOLTS to bolt it back together.
