Default Just ordered a Loudmouth, Qs inside

I have been planning on going with a true dual system, but I am lowering the car and I didn't want to risk the ground clearance loss. Anyway, I just placed my order for a Loudmouth (something I never thought I would do) since they are cheap and made of stainless steel. My main question......I am not a fan of the interior resonance of my cutout. Should I go ahead and order a bullet muffler to replace the resonator in the Loudmouth? If I waited, would I have to cut the resonator off of the Loudmouth to replace it? Thanks in advance.

Also, I know lots of people do not like the sound of the Loudmouth, but for those that do....please make me feel better by telling me how much you like the catback.

Well it depdends on what your setup is. I had the loudmouth with my bolt ons and loved the sound! It's much more raw and mean than other more expensive systems like Corsa and B&B IMO. When I got the longtubes with offroad pipes however the car was extremely loud, sounded like a funnycar. I had a Borla XR-1 Oval Sportsman muffler welded in the rear and replaced the resonator with a straight thru pipe and cutout. Oh BTW, if you plan on doing it you will have to block off the passenger side tip. This setup sounds very nice thru the muffler. If you have just bolt ons and no longtubes/offroad pipe I would just see how you like the Loudmouth and then maybe replace the resonator with a bullet muffler if you don't like it. However if you plan and getting longtubes and offoroad pipes I got condsiderable feedback from this site that a bullet muffler won't quiet it down that much. Email me and I can send you pics of my setup. ~tony

LS1 Speed told me it would be a week before mine shipped, although I'm pretty sure the site said they had some in stock waiting to ship....

Ive had the loud mouth cat back for a long time, back when they used to be shipped with cheap sh*t excuse for exhaust tips and the rear part was in one peice. My car was not a daily driver so i really didnt care about the drone/resonance. Every once in a while when I would take my car on long trips I would get a headache because of the drone/resonance. Early this year I got long tubes headers installed and that not only reduced the drone/resonance but also improved the sound of the LM. Now I think it sounds awsome and I can drive my car all day long and not be bothered by the drone/resonance, which is good since I now drive my car a lot more.

So, all of a sudden, only one person owns a Loudmouth? Thanks for the reply though. I think I will just stick with the resonator right now, and hopefully it will sound great since I'm running manifolds and cats. Thanks to anyone else who wants to reply.

It's going to be a while before you get your loudmouth... Mine has been on backorder at SLP for a month now... They keep telling me it will come in wednesday... I also want to hear how it sounds...
