O2 simms question

O2 simms question I installed hte simms today and after a few minutes of driving ses light came on.Code 140 and 160 which is no rear O2 signal,anyone have this happen to them or are they just bad.(3 wire simms)

Re: O2 simms question This EXACT thing happened to me last week. I reset the comp a few times and the light would come back on about 15-20 miles later. Turns out, the used O2 sims I bought from someone on this site for $50 are BAD! I ordered some new ones from Thunder Racing and they came in the mail today, put them on, and went for a nice 40 mile drive with no engine light. I'm hoping it's fixed.... the ones I got from thunder look a little different than the first ones I bought (they have a LED light on them for some reason). Anyway... if you bought them new, send'em back and get replacements, if you bought them used... you're out of luck, you'll have to float the $100 for a new set.

Re: O2 simms question I have the same prob with my 02 sims...jsut havent had a chance to remove them and send them back. My car took a few hours of driving before the light came on.

Re: O2 simms question i had a issue with new ones i bought for my 99, the tripped lack of activity codes for my SES.. turns out the vendor i bought them from knew of a issue on some LS1 cars the 3 wire sims wont work you need 4 wire ones,. I dont know exactly what the diffrence is other then the 4wire ones had a led on them ...but that cleared my issue, the vendor handled the issue rapidly so im not bad mouthing them , good luck
