headers w/ egr/air

Default headers w/ egr/air

ok i got my pacetters in the car and now realize that the air and egr on the header is not tapped like the factory manifolds. is this normal. should i just put a nut on the back side. also i can not get the dipstick tube back in for the life of me. it came out bent all up( not like it is supposed to) so i am trying to tweek it back to the right shape by trial and error and it is not working so far. i also think i cross threaded the dipstick tube bolt HELP

Do you have a tap set?? You could tap the holes for the egr/air. Also try to clean up the threads for the dip stick. You may have to put in a hilicoil in you head if the threads are that bad.

i don't have a tap set but i think autozone rents them or i can get one from work it will be standard then tho. that dipstick tho is really pissing me off. any thoughts

Pacesetters should come with new bolts/washers/nuts for the emissions fittings since the holes aren't tapped.....mine did anyway. The bolts that came with mine were pretty long though, so I cut 1/4" off.
