Ricer (show off) or not?

Ricer (show off) or not? I dont want to be doing something that is worthlessly flashy but by reading my post here

and my mods now, with the headers raising issues with my A/F mixture, would it be kind of a waste/ricer to get a A/F gauge? All money on car goes to performance, other than maybe a nice set of wheels if i had the money now. But i know how ricers sometimes get gauges on all stock cars. Hence i wouldnt get a FP gauge becaues i dont need to keep an eye on that w/out a power adder. or do i <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> nah just kidding.

Re: Ricer (show off) or not? Ask yourself: What is more important - knowing the proper A/F mixture, or what other people think about your car.

Re: Ricer (show off) or not? i just looked at that site after i did a search. so is it that big of a difference between the 2 gauges? HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE DONT THIS TO YOUR GAUGES?

Re: Ricer (show off) or not? The problem here is that the factory O2 sensors are only accurate at stoich (14.7:1), so it's a shot in the dark using them to tune anyway...
I've seen a lot of folks screw themselves pretty bad by relying on the stock O2's. The only way to be certain of your AF ratio is with the use of a wideband O2 sensor.

Re: Ricer (show off) or not? I bought one of those autometer A/F gauges. It is worthless, unless you like the light show. Those digital gauges look like a much better investment, and would be the thing to buy. I am going to get one. Thanks for the link by the way.
