Default Header tube Size?

Should I go with the 1 3/4 or the 1 7/8. I am looking at the Dynatech long tubes versus the Hookers. Which would be the best bang for the money?

After having built a couple sets of custom headers I have some thoughts that would help you come to a good decision.

Unfortunately I'm refusing to help anyone on this board after I was bashed by 6 people yesteday for posting a bad experience with thunder racing.

Good luck!

OK.. back on subject!

If you plan to go with heads & cam in the future I would think about it, definetly if you have plans for more cubic inches.. But remember.. the bigger tubes may shift your power output up the RPM scale a little. That's fine with my high stall'd A4, but may not be the way to go on a mostly street car.

I pretty much agree with John. If you plan on staying with stock cubes I would go with 1 3/4. The only way I'd go with 1 7/8 would be with more cubic inches. Hope this helps...
