help me revise my exhuast setup
help me revise my exhuast setup right now i have hooker lts, hooker y pipe 3" intermediet into a slp dual dual and its really quiet. i like a lil noise in my system you cant even here the cam lope the way it is now. what i am thinkinng of doing is adding a dynomax bullet to the intermediet pipe and a qtp electric cutout right after it. i dont like the way jus a cutout sounds that is the reason for the bullet. what do you all think about this setup. i want to keep the slp on for those late night i come home i wont wake all my neibors which already hate my car when i had jus a bullet on the car hehe

Re: help me revise my exhuast setup cars done only has 54 miles on the motor so far it runs pretty good i havnt floored it but you barely give it gas and it gets up to speed really quik! you cant even hear the cam though and i like that sound lol. one thing is that the clamps the hooker y pipe give you suck i need to get some band claps for the y pipe i can hear a faint sound of exhuast leak. thats an easy fix though other than that it going good jus waitin for my 4l70 conversion to get here

Re: help me revise my exhuast setup Go with a TRUE Dual exhaust, run straight pipes off the headers through dual bullet mufflers. My friend has this setup and it is sweet, he runs 10.97 @ 125 on it, and a couple other mods. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: help me revise my exhuast setup Blue I have this set up on my LT1 car. I have a 234/242 .575/.565 112 cam. I custom made my Y-Pipe and it goes to a 4in Dynomax Bullit Muffler. then to a 12in 4in tube into a 4in to 3in reducer to the SLP Dual Dual. Very nice and fairly quiet unless you are in close quarters then the pipe noise getts loud. If you disconect the rear section it is REALLY loud...but livable <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
I am installing a QTP cut out today in the 4in pipe before reducer. I was going with a 3.5 but got a deal on a 3in so that is what I am installing <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
I will let you know how it turns out.
BTW there is NO mistaking the cam in my car ;D
