Default ws6 lower intake

where can i ge tthe lower part of a ws6 intake. i seen a ramair ws6 at the track and OMG is like 2" more space for air to go through top/bottom. im guessing it should bolt in without any problems or would i need the ram air hood for it to work. if i dont need the hood. anyone know how much those costs and where i could find one ive searched parts for sale without luck and ebay.

I think that the lid will hit your hood unless you have the ram air hood, but i could be wrong about that

You will need the hood like already said or you cant use it.For future reference the ws6 lower air box part # is #12455209 (google is your friend). It varies in price from what I've seen from $70 to $120.

Not worth the hood/airbox swap unless you seal the airbox off which isnt a big deal.

Take your time and look around "Salvage" yards. I got mine for $10 from a friend. I would have never spent $70 for it. Hell I had the thing in my closet for almost a year before I got my WS9 Outlaw hood from VFN.

If I'm not mistaken, when people get the Volant intake, they remove the lower air box. So I'd do a search on who's planning on getting one, and offer them some $$ for a part they will no longer have use for.

Some non-ram air (hood) cars it doesn't hit, others it does.

i had one and my hood wouldnt close with the stock hood and ws6 lower airbox.

now i have a firehawk hood. and some say it will and some say it wont. as for the z28 and ss, i dunno.
i ended up selling it for twice what i paid.
wish i still had it so i could try.
