O2 extentions on Hooker Headers?
Re: O2 extentions on Hooker Headers? What year is your car (never mind, I see you have a 2001 SS) and what setup are you getting? I know you said Hooker LT, but also the ORY pipe? I just installed the Hookers on mine, both the LT and ORY pipe. The extensions are included with the headers. I had to modify my air tubes, the 98-99 are 90 degrees rotated from 2000 (I think)-2002. Hooker made these headers for 98-99 F-bodies. Also, you'll need an EGR block off plate if you have a 2001-2002 vehicle. You'll need O2 simms, be sure they are for an F-body and not a GM truck! Follow the instruction to a tee, except if you are doing this on your driveway, you'll only have to lift the car up about 20"-22". Not the 30"-36" Hooker says. Re: O2 extentions on Hooker Headers? Why would I need an EGR block off plate...didn't GM remove the EGR system from the 2001-2002 vehicles? I am just getting the headers. I am having a custom true dual done. Will they bolt up to a 3" pipe? I'm planning to do an xpipe from dr.gas.

Re: O2 extentions on Hooker Headers? I custom made my own from scrap metal, using the gasket as a template. Then used a drill and dremel to cut it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Thunder Racing has it for $10 under their exhaust section.

O2 extentions on Hooker Headers? How long of extentions do I need for the front O2 sensors? I have ordered the hookers from TByrne(awesome GP price <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> and need to know what else I need to get. I have a 2001 SS if that helps. Also, what do I need to do about the Air tubes? I've read about people buying a 98-99 tube or bending the newer ones. Any sugestions?
