1 3/4 vs 1 7/8 primaries

1 3/4 vs 1 7/8 primaries whats better for a bolton car with possible h/c and or spray in its future? couple guys said 1 7/8 was too much for stock cubes but then another guy with 1 7/8 grotts said he gained big with them and didnt lose power anywhere? any thoughts?

Re: 1 3/4 vs 1 7/8 primaries 1 3/4 is ideal for the stock cubes. I have 1 7/8 and while I made a bit of power I am lacking on the torque side of the curve. When you are dealing with nitrous there will be a trade off in there somewhere though. That's really what you're going to find with the difference.

Re: 1 3/4 vs 1 7/8 primaries If you've got an A4 with a big stall, and you are going to spray, I'd go with the bigger primaries. Even if you weren't going to spray, I *might* get the bigger ones.
Around town, with no torque multiplication from the converter, an M6 might suck with them though. I'd say it all depends on the spray.

Re: 1 3/4 vs 1 7/8 primaries I think 1 7/8 are too big for stock cubes. You won't see the full benefit of the header, and your torque will be down.
If you plan on going to bigger cubes or FI in the future though.....
