upgrading to ls6 intake any concerns??

Default upgrading to ls6 intake any concerns??

so i am gonna be getting an ls6 intake for my 98 i know i need the coolant pipes and the 2 plugs so do i need to get this to keep the EGR or can i just get rid of it?

i really dont care about spending another 80 on this :

If you choose to keep the EGR, then yes that is one way to make it work with an LS6 intake. I say just junk the EGR! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ( Note: you will get an SES light ).

when you install your new intake, check, double check, triple check, the your vaccumm hose that connects to the rear of the intake isn't going to contact your oil pressure sending unit, and snap it. Unlike my incounter with this. I bolted everything back together, started her up, and sure enough, my oil gauge said 100PSI <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> after waiting 3 days for GM to get my sender delivered, ripped everything apart, and sure enough it was in two pieces. Be carefull back there, and double check everything. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

ditto on the comments about the back of the intake. I got my new one bolted back down and I forgot to connect the vacum tube to the intake. It took some time to find it, position it, and get it connected. Before you put the intake on make sure everything in the back is lined up and ready for you to connect.
