Default Pacesetter life span?

just wanted to know if there was a certin amount of ware that the pacesetters could handle. i have 70k on the care now so im going with them, but say i had 5k and its a daily driver, would it last till 130-150k? might make me change my mind and save to get qtp headers. thanks nick

Do they salt the roads in the winter time? If so, that will contribute to the rust, but I haven't ever lived where it snows alot so I'm not up to date on what is done to the roads up north in the winter.

I hope they last longer than the Hooker LT's coated by JetHot. Mine lasted 20 months. Nothing like paper thin mild steel and a coating that flakes off.

Yeah, and if they do rust through, you can buy a fresh set and you still won't have spent any more than on one set of QTP or Kooks. Just a thought ...

Oh same here! Mine look liked crap. I had to wire brush the collector and part way up the pipes and paint the header. So now I have a half coated half rusting/painted header. I understand if they are the only thing in your price range, but headers take a beating when it comes to weather and pace setters will not last in a DD. Mine started rusting before I moved North to Iowa. Need to get stailess but waiting to make the jump to a 408.
