difference for 00+ lid?
Hi guys. I've been reading around for a good while but haven't made any posts yet. I have a 2001 Camaro SS and I'm curious about the SLP lid. I don't want to ask a stupid question and I have tried to search for an awnser. I've noticed there is a slightly different lid for the 2000+ LS1 vehicles. The lid has an air hose I think.. How important is it that I get this lid since my car is an 01? I've noticed SLP is the only brand that has this option. Thanks

Well you can get the SLP lid and have the air hose like stock, or you can get another lid, and have to put a small breather filter on the air line.
The choice is yours, there's no functional difference
FWIW I got the SLP lid, as I didn't want the breather (personal preferance)

I you are planning to remove the air pumps later, then get the lid with out the hole, however, if you get the SLP, order the 98 one, as it comes with a plug for the hole, so you can use the hole for your pumps, then if you get rid of them you already have the plug. that is the difference in the lid

don't mean to hijack the thread, but has anyone noticed their SLP lid rubbing on the underside of the hood? Mine is, its not really rubbing, but there was a little white mark on both the lid and the hood from where they were touching. normal?
